Global Rice Market Price Developments

Rice prices have reached historic lows, with global rice trading at $10.16 USD per hundredweight on October 27, 2025, down 0.78% from the previous day. Over the past month, rice prices have fallen 10.56%, and are down 32.60% compared to the same period last year. According to Trading Economics, rice futures are trading at their lowest level since April 2019. The downward trend is expected to persist at least until early 2026 with the arrival of new Asian crops, according to the Centre for International Cooperation in Agricultural Research for Development (Cirad).
